I’ve always enjoyed the episodes of Grey’s that were narrated by the other characters because that meant the focus of the story line was going to be on them. The Season 6 finale, which involved the hospital shooting, remains near the top of my list of best season finales ever written (the only one that’s better is The West Wing’s “Two Cathedrals”). The stories it manages to produce continue to draw viewers in for being interesting, and when they want to be…utterly destroying. Its cast of characters are frustratingly relatable.
